An Ode to Whiskey

Posted on Updated on

whiskey, whisky, cheese, photography, poetry

Oh my sweet!

How I yearn for you!

Slip smoothly past my lips

and down my throat.

Warm my very being with your

powerful golden nectar.

Make me want you more.

Whisky (Scottish, single malt) is a feast of scents and complex taste. I love it too.

I love me some old crow or wild turkey!

I only drink the classiest of whiskeys

LOL…try The Knot sometime. It is like liquid caramel. That is what I was drinking when I took this photo.

sounds way too classy from me….

Wow – thank you so much!! I chose that for my first posted poem because it makes me laugh, too…less personal than most of my poems 🙂

Glad to be part of your community – and I confess I did a little search and found a couple of your poems – your choices of descriptive words somehow synthesizes perfectly with the rhythm. I enjoyed them very much!
PS: I am a fan of fantasy, so I look forward to it! 🙂

Enjoy the lovely fall weekend 🙂
