Weekly Photo Challenge: Illumination 2 & 3

This is also the Da Vinci exhibit – they were taken inside a replica design of Da Vinci’s ‘tank’. Complete with life-sized cannons and wheels that had to be hand cranked in order to move the tank.

The first photo, and the the one from “Illumination 1,” are my favorite of the three. Nicely composed.

Thank you! Those are my favorites, too 🙂 I really was a little irritated that I didn’t have my favorite camera with me. But, I don’t like hauling it around when it is so cold and I don’t even know if I am going to use it. Been having trouble with my lenses in the cold – they don’t want to autofocus, which wouldn’t be a problem if I would actually remember to manually focus… 😉

I know what you mean, I only bring my camera if I know I’m going to use it. But my iPhone is always with me. If I see something I think I need the “real” camera for, I make a few shots with the phone, then if I come up with a decent composition, I’ll come back with the 7D. Even when I’m out with my dslr I try to make a few photos with the phone, cause it’s fun.
