Holiday traditions

Posted on Updated on

In the past, I have posted photos from the Christmas tree farm we visit, but for some reason this year was a bit more fun. Perhaps because I am moving on to a new job and life seems so full of possibilities I could burst.

Have you ever taken a step back from yourself to assess your life and suddenly realized how lucky you are? That happened to me this week.

The following photos aren’t particularly special works of art, but the strong sense of peace and love coming from my soul when I made them was very special.

Back in the saddle again

Posted on Updated on

Since it’s been a while, I thought I would go all in and create several posts from photos I’ve taken in the past month. These were all captured on my phone (Samsung Note3 – highly recommend!), but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on my camera skills. I’ve been pretty busy with that, and plan to officially launch as a business soon.

This first batch was taken while on a road trip in the western VA/WV area. I absolutely love the mountains and can’t wait to plan my next mountain vacation!

Gold and Retrievers

Well, one of them is actually a pointer, but the title works better with ‘retriever’ 🙂

Sunrise in the Great Plains

One of the things I like about this time of year is that sunrises are not so ridiculously early…I actually get the chance to enjoy one from time to time. These photos were taken minutes apart – the more colorful of the two was taken first, as the sun was just beginning to make its journey across the Minnesota sky.
