Dog and Blue Jeans…In Black & White

This dog was precious! I took this while 2nd shooter on an engagement shoot – this couple was adorable, but I couldn’t take my eyes off their pup. This was taken with my old Canon 30D, but edited using my new LR/PS CC subscription 🙂

Here’s another one – the lighting was harsh and the dog’s nose a little blurry, but I still like this photo:

Time to clean ears

Franky has such an amazing, expressive face. I love photographing him, but unfortunately he does not love cameras, so my photos of him typically consist of him looking away or off to the side.

In this photo, he is suspiciously eyeing the ear cleaning solution we are about to administer. The way he looks, you’d think we were about to torture him.

I hate ear - cleaning day!

While I love to photograph just about anything, I really love taking photos of pets. This dog, Fifi, could be seen with his owner just about every night on the Piazza in Cagli, Italy. If you look closely, you will see my shape in his eyes as well as two of the buildings surrounding the piazza.

My cat likes to sleep under the covers sometimes…and of course I let him because he is incredibly sweet 🙂 Unfortunately, all I had was my phone next to me to capture this…

These were taken at one of my favorite stops in southern Minnesota.

While I love these photos they way they are, I have to admit that I am unsure of the saturation technique I used…

Weekly Photo Challenge: From Lines to Patterns

Hey! I’m still here. I have been busy with class lately, so posting (and unfortunately, taking photos) has not been a priority for me. I took this photo a couple years ago at The Hoover Dam. I loved the shadow, but it wasn’t until I got home that I saw the beauty of all the other lines and patterns – the grid pattern of the dam’s construction and the contrasting water/rust? stains, combined with the deco-style pillars, and cylindrical buildings.
